Matthew took an unorthodox route to a career in public accounting. He started his college education in engineering school at the University of Arizona. After some unforeseen circumstances, Matthew left school and worked in restaurants while completing an Associate in Culinary Arts.

After several years of the restaurant ‘grind’, he decided to get back into a professional field. Matthew finished his accounting degree online while continuing to work in both restaurants and his first Public Accounting Firm in Scottsdale, AZ (2005). He spent a few more years as a full-time accountant while completing the CPA exam and applying for his state board license in 2008.

In 2009, Matthew founded a more established CPA firm in Houston, TX. He continued practicing for high-profile firms in Houston for 15 years, before establishing his own firm in 2024.

Matthew was most influenced by traditional Public Accountants, who believe in consistent methods for tax preparation and planning. The firm’s policy is to apply the same principles to every client.
